Epson, a leader in digital imaging, has introduced a slim and sleek entry-level A4 scanner that produces high quality scanned images and documents with little hassle. It is deliberately packed with features aimed at enhancing the scanning process. The Epson Perfection V30 scanner is especially ideal for homes and small offices.

The Epson Perfection V30 scanner is a great combination of power, simplicity and flexibility. It comes with Epson Scan v3.5, an easy-to-use photo and document editing software that includes several enhancement features.

The new gadget is comparatively light at 2.2 kilograms and measures just 41mm in height. The Epson Perfection V30 scanner has an optical resolution of 4800dpi and 48-bit colour depth. As the original colour and details of every scanned image will be accurately captured and reproduced, the Epson Perfection V30 is certainly suited for both document and photo scanning.

It has the Colour Restoration technology that allows uers to restore faded photographs to their original colours simply with the click of a mouse. The Dust Removal Tools feature enhances the quality of the image by automatically detecting and removing dust specks and scratches from scanned photographs.

It is designed to make high quality photo and document scanning easy, the Epson Perfection V30 scanner also features four customisable one-touch buttons increasing productivity for high quality document and photo scanning. It is preset with Copy, Start, Scan-to-Email, and Scan-to-PDF functions for most common scanning tasks, users may customise these buttons through Epson Event Manager to suit personal preferences.

The Epson Perfection V30 scanner comes with the energy-efficient ReadyScan LED Technology. The white light LED technology is environment friendly as the ReadyScan LEDs contain no mercury, have low power consumption and heat dissipation and virtually no warm up time.

It carries a price tag of INR 4999 and is available fromĀ  December 2008.
