Collevo has just rolled out its waterproof IP65 LCD monitor, addressing the operating concerns of harsh outdoor environment. Chances are pretty good that this will remain a commercial appliance more than one for the home, although it won’t be ruled out by rich folks who want something different in their backyard.
IP65 features:
- 1,366 x 768 resolution (for 26″, 32″ and 40″ models)
- 1,920 x 1,080 resolution (for 42″ model)
- 1,500:1 contrast ratio
- Operational in temperatures of up to 50 degrees centigrade
The front panel, top and rear sides have been specially sealed to prevent rainfall from seeping in, although it isn’t much fun trying to catch a game on TV when it is pouring outdoors – the noise from the raindrops will surely interfere with your enjoyment.
